FCI was founded in 1964 in
Canoga Park, California area. In 1980, we relocated our corporate and
manufacturing facility to San Marcos, California (near San Diego). In
order to support our increasing international customer base, we opened
our European Sales and Service Center in the Netherlands in 1993.
In 1986, FCI formed a dedicated technical and manufacturing strategic
team to focus on the commercial and military aircraft, space, vehicle
and marine industries. Their efforts and achievements resulted in the
formation of FCI’s Aerospace Division in 1996. Over the past 17 years,
the Aerospace Division has successfully supported Boeing, Airbus,
Bombardier and Embraer commercial aircraft programs with instrumentation
for numerous system applications. Our sensors are in service on military
fighters, bombers, helicopters, vehicles and ships, where they have been
qualified to rigorous military standards.
In January 2001, we received the coveted AS9000 compliance to our
certifications portfolio. Our design, manufacturing and calibration
systems, processes and facilities have been reviewed and audited by all
major contractors and airframe manufacturers enabling FCI to provide
proposals directly to system suppliers and prime contractors.
FCI's Aerospace Division provides temperature, liquid level, flow and
pressure instrumentation to the commercial and military aircraft, space,
vehicle and marine industries throughout the World. Our products consist
of sensor elements, switches and transmitters for all applications
including critical flight worthy and qualified requirements.
Our world-class Flow and Level Calibration Facility is continually being
improved, expanded and upgraded to meet our customer's increasing
requirements. The latest addition includes a new liquid flow stand for
wide flow rate and temperature ranges in aerospace fluids – fuels,
hydraulic fluids, coolants and other critical liquids.
