AS-FS Flow Switches
SummaryFCI provides flow switches that include a thermowell
mounted sensing element and integral or remote electronics that
indicate flow rate above or below a predetermined set point at the
sensing location. The flow element is directly installed into piping
or ducting on commercial and military aircraft, spacecraft, vehicles
and marine applications.

u Standard: All wetted parts 300 series stainless steel with nickel
braze per AMS 4777 or all welded construction; passivated finish per
QQ-P-35
u Optional: Hastelloy C, titanium and other alloys.
Process Connection: Flanged or threaded.
Insertion Length: Per customer requirement.
Operating Temperature: -65° to +500° F [-54° to +260° C], higher
temperature service optionally available.
Operating Pressure: To 1000 psig [69 bar(g)]; optionally higher by
application
Proof Pressure: To 2000 psig [138 bar(g)] as required by
application.
Electrical Connection: Military or commercial connector.
Controller - Provided by customer of FCI
Operating Temperature: -40° to +160° F [-40° to +71° C]; Higher
temperature service optionally available.
Input Power: 28 Vdc nominal per MIL STD -704.
Power Consumption: 50 to 85 mA depending on type of output signal(s).
Output Signal: Op Amp totem pole output: High flow: Source 2 mA at
17 Vdc minimum; Low or no flow: Sink 2 mA at 1 Vdc maximum.
Enclosure: Environmentally sealed units-electroless nickel plated
aluminum with o-ring seal; Hermetically sealed units 300 series
stainless steel.
Electrical Connection: Military or commercial connector.
EMI/ Lightning Protection: MIL STD-462 and RTCA/DO-160
Optional Equipment: Temperature switch output, calibration and/or
material certificates.
