8-66B BASIC Level Switch
Level Switch SummaryFCI's first and most widely used
level/interface switch monitor, the 8-66B BASIC insertion type level
and interface switch provides 0.25 inch [6 mm] control of liquid
level or product interface. Any type of external control system can
be actuated from either the normally open or closed output contacts
of the instrument's on-board DPDT relay.
The level/interface sensing element of the instrument and its
modular control circuit are mounted in a rugged aluminum enclosure
that is Factory Mutual, CSA, CENELEC and CE Mark approved for
hazardous location service.
The wetted surfaces of the sensing element are 316 stainless steel
with nickel-braze providing resistance to most liquid, gaseous and
particulate media.

Enclosure: Epoxy coated aluminum enclosure is rated
for hazardous location use (Class I and II, Division 1 and
2, Group B, C, D, E, F and G; and EEx d IIC) and resists the
effect of weather and corrosion (NEMA and CSA Type 4X and
equivalent to IP66).
Agency Approvals: FM, CSA, CENELEC and CE Mark.
