Inspector II


Position:   Inspector II
Department:   QA
Schedule:   Monday through Thursday
6:00am to 4:30pm

Position Purpose:

Position assisting in quality audits reporting to the QA Manager.

Essential Job Functions (primary duties and outputs of position):

  • Qualified to inspect all commercial products at Receiving and In-Process Inspection
  • Previous experience with manufactured parts and sub assemblies a plus
  • Experience with lot trace ability and/or Aerospace also a plus
  • Experience with Receiving Inspection of Electronics a plus
  • Using standard inspection devices and/or elementary testing equipment, and following prescribed inspection procedures, sets up, checks and visually inspects bench-assembled production components and subassemblies for conformance to predetermined electrical and or mechanical standards, specifications or tolerances
  • Must be able to work from production schematics, specifications and/or blueprints
  • Does include final inspection of complex assemblies or first article inspection

Minimum Requirements:

  • Perform good math skills and have the ability to read and understand English
  • Basic computer experience is necessary Syteline program a plus
  • Must be capable of using calipers, micrometers and other simple inspection tools
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy of work
  • Effectively work with others and be able to work in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to work well under sometimes stressful or hurried conditions
  • Ability to adjust quickly as requirements change
  • 3-5 years previous experience
Applicants may be asked to measure some dimensions from a drawing during the interview process.

Skills / Abilities Required:

This position requires sitting 40% and computer work a least 30% of the time. Standing and walking are required up to 30% of the time. Should be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds. Normal conditions are 10 pounds or less.
