Position Purpose:
The Order Entry Clerk will be responsible for retrieving, reviewing and entering orders in an accurate and timely manner and is responsible for integrating and coordinating customer order requests into FCI's business systems. This position reports to the Inside Sales Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions (primary duties and outputs of position):
- Download sales representative's and distributor's orders from Inet.
- Review all incoming orders for completeness and accuracy of product line.
- Understand commission structure in order to assign accurate commission and discount distributions.
- Determine correct product label to ensure proper code selections for items ordered.
- Flag all special instructions as related to each order.
- Translation of orders into FCI stocked products and configured products terminology.
- Enter Application Data Sheets into AVAL system.
- Re-enter AVAL data into ASAP system as needed.
- Prints and reviews order acknowledgements and forwards to Production Planning.
- Process all "Change Orders" ensuring all modifications are made.
- Import information from Syteline into Excel, Crystal Reports and Access.
Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- On an as-need basis, prepare other requested basic reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years order entry experience in a comparable environment.
- Prefer prior experience working in a manufacturing/engineering company.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, produce quality work while maintaining focus within mandatory time frame.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Access, Syteline, AGS.
Experience working with macros is a plus.
- A proven work history of attention to detail.
- Must be able to grasp engineering principals and terminology as it relates to the Company's product lines.
- Skilled in professional business communications with internal staff and representatives.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and effectively work with others.
Skills / Abilities Required:
This position requires sitting 80% of the time and computer work at least 80% of the time. Standing and walking up to 20% of the time, as well as, Read, write and communicate in English.
